What Is a Vaporizer?
A vaporizer is a device that heats the active ingredients of the plant matter you smoke. What this does is, it vaporizes the active ingredients without combusting the plant matter. Therefore you get no smoke, but a rich clean vapor leaving behind the plant matter itself. This is a healthy alternative than smoking because the
cancer causing agents in things like tobacco, even marijuana are in the combustion of the plant matter.
Why do I need a Vaporizer?
A vaporizer is needed by anyone who smokes plain and simple. Whether it's marijuana or tobacco, your lungs will thank you, and your life maybe saved. Studies show a dramatic reduction in the damage done to a persons lungs. With a decent vaporizer there is literally no damage done. Smoking causes a dark film to form on a persons lungs over time. This film is from the smoke, and tar and everything else associated with plant matter combustion.
What is the best Vaporizer to Buy?
There are many different vaporizers on the market today. You can even find YouTube videos on making them from light bulbs. But these aren't very effective. The best Vaporizer i've found has been the Volcano Vaporizer. The Volcano is superbly made, long lasting and a great deal when it comes to decent vaporizers. Volcano Vapes are tough and durable and last much longer than their competitors. It uses a bag system, each volcano comes with 5 bags which last users a few years. As you can see from the picture this model has a digital control, getting the temp to the exact place you need it to be. Too cool and it won't do what it's supposed to. Too warm and it burns the plant matter. The best vaporizer temperature for marijuana/thc vaporization is approximately 365° Fahrenheit, give or take 20° depending on the moisture content of the herbs and the type of vaporizer you are using.
Different Volcano Models
There are a couple of models of Volcano Vaporizers, the Volcano Classic and the Volcano Digit (Digital) like the one in the picture above. The only difference between the two is how the temperature is dialed in. The digital has an LED screen, again like the picture above. This provides more precise temperature than the classic. The classic has a temperature dial, like the picture below

Should I Just Buy A Used Vape?
I would personally stay away from used vaporizers of any kind. What if they were used for something like marijuana and not properly cleaned? Buying a new digital volcano vaporizer is really the only option because most people use these for marijuana. Even if that is your purpose, getting caught without even receiving it yet because it was smelled by a drug dog isn't very smart to do.
